Think about it...

"Give War a Chance"
I'm stationed at a military post roughly 3 1/2 hours away from my home town. This is also the same town in which I went to college in. 160,000 people in this small city, and 70% of them are Left-winged liberals. I joined the military for 2 reasons, to shape myself up, both attitude, character, and morals. Secondly was to fight for my country. My family growing up, and theirs growing up, was extremely patriotic. Naturally the way i was raised shows in my everyday actions. Worked on a farm, for grueling 14 hour days, 7 days a week on my off time from school growing up, played college sports, joined the military, now 5 days a week i am up at 4:30am....quite rare for a 21 yr old. So being so close to home is nice, it allows me to have the freedom to drive home to the town where all my college friends, family, and loved ones are. One weekend i made the drive down and my buddy was out of town and let me sleep in his empty bed while i was home. His bed overlooks the street, the same street that i had parked my truck on, right under the window as a matter of fact. I then proceeded to do what every normal human being does and go to sleep after being out for the night, only to be awaken at 3:30 am by rowdy people outside walking down the street. Lucky for me to be woken up, because not more than 2 minutes after, along came 2 girls and 2 guys. One girl see's a sticker on my truck saying "Give War a Chance" in my unit colors, and says "does that say give war a chance? who the fuck does this guy think he is...i'm gonna rip it off his window" I quickly jumped to the window and yelled, "get the fuck away from my truck". Startled and surprised that not only was someone was awake, but that i caught them in the act, they ran. I woke up the next morning expecting a brick to be through my window for stopping them from completing their ignorant liberal asses from vandalizing my vehicle and inhibiting my right to free speech. But little did I know that they had already successfully pealed off half of it and ripped it off...now it says "ve war a chance". So I immediately went home after the weekend and started designing a new sticker to say the exact same thing, since through a string of weird incidences the sticker is no longer available. I will be giving them to my family and friends where this situation ocured (who by the way are also in the military) and they will be sporting them like its a fashion going out of style. I suppose the moral of the story is, don't try to force your opinion on others, or go out of your way to give your opinion to someone who obviously has a different one. Otherwise you may end up getting theirs shoved up your ass! :)
